THIS, my friends, is what I have been waiting all series to see. It had it all. I was completely spoiled and still glued to my seat the entire time. From shipper squee to companion entourage to little pieces of the puzzle that made just a wee bit more sense... I was thoroughly entertained.

spoilers for this ep only )

I like Saturdays... can we have another one tomorrow? *grin*

Edit: Spoiler/spec for the rest of the series in the comments.

I just finished watching and had to talk about it a bit. I'll be writing my review presently, but that'll take a couple of hours at least. To sum it up in a word or two, I'd have to say... absolutely gripping.

Dear RTD... that was brilliant. Loved the idea for the plot. Loved how it tied in the past two years. Loved the cast involved. Loved how it answers questions and brought up new ones. Loved how my little shipper heart squeed to the point of bursting. Frankly, I adored it.

Oh boy... I transcribed a whole lot more than I thought I would. *hehe* But it was sooo worth it.

Not nearly as scary as I thought it would be, but certainly kept my attention for the whole thing without wishing it over! However, there were a few characters that were annoying me to the nth degree. Despite that, mass improvement over the last few weeks. *grin* And I even got my shippy squee in there!

I await to pass final judgment on this episode until after I get a conclusion. I'll say this much though... it would be much better if I had spoilers 'cause right now, I'm just really annoyed at one of the characters.

Here we go again. Spoilers for this ep and trailer only )

Wow... that's more thought into this then I thought there would be. *grin*

I was actually quite pleased with this episode. I went into this with my theory on the genetics, and it made everything quite nice. I also became quite a bit more philosophical about this one than normal (so it took me three hours to complete), so slight warning on that. *grin*

I didn't have high hopes for this ep knowing who wrote it, but was pleasantly surprised at how I did enjoy it. I'm even eager for the conclusion. And I found quite a bit of it quotable, as you will see below... *grin*

It appears that this one didn't grab me as much as the rest since I still haven't written a full review of it. Though, hopefully, I'll get to do one later this week, but for now I figured I'd give my biggest thoughts... well, my Rose one anyway since everything always ties me back to her in my mind.

Well... I think the same thing as I did last time.

I think that Voyage of the Damned would be considered a lovely disaster movie… too bad I’m not really into those. Action was clearly the name of the game, but I didn’t feel any heart in it, which made me disappointed as I eagerly waited for the whole 71 minutes to be over. It did have its moments though, and I liked the last 15 minutes. Anyway, on to my review again...

Have I mentioned how I like series 4 yet? Much better than series 3. Loving the companion, and loving that I'm looking for my shippy. Yep, even with Rose gone for over a year, I'm still looking for shippy and reminded of her everywhere.

spoilers for FoP only )

I found a lot of parallels to series 1, eh? Annnnnd, I just realized that it took me two hours to write this. *laugh*

Jane Austen is awesome. *grin* Now, I've read this book before, but I just bought a new copy which is the Insight Edition. This has little things in the margins with tidbits of Britain during that time period, or things from Austen's life, or just things the editors found cute.

For instance, the book describes Darcy... "Mr. Darcy soon drew the attention of the room by his fine, tall person, handsome features..." at this point there is a tidbit that states "Yep, sounds like Colin Firth to us, too." *hehe*

Or interesting knowledge like "Ladies unwilling to dance would alter that evening's headdress with a distinct kind of lappet or fold, since not all were confident in their abilities."

Or learning for the reason of those "----shire." For instance, "I hope your plans in favour of the -----shire will not be affected by his being in the neighbourhood." is because "the blank spaces are left to avoid libel or slander. In P&P, they're almost always linked with Wickham. For reasons that will become clear."

I'm loving this book all over again. And completely recommend this edition of it. *grin* I'm up to the ball at Netherfield. Oh, I think I need to put one of the movies in. Hmmm... the A&E with Colin Firth or the 2005 one? Difficult choice.

It's not considered spoilers anymore! Hooray! *grin* The Runaway Bride and Smith and Jones have finally aired in the US... which means that Emma, the NonWhovian sister, was required to watch it. Since she was, and Bro was in the room, he spent the entire first episode bemoaning the fact that he was sitting there watching it. So warning... some of it is not flattering, but I found it funny...

Some of their reactions are under the cut. *grin*

So there you have it. Hopefully another NonWhovian view next week! *grin*

So here it is… my last review until December, and I just have to say…. *starts bursting out laughing*… um, well… I understood and accepted the Deus ex Machina of the Parting of the Ways, I cried along with the Doctor and Rose in Doomsday, but this… I was laughing… in all the wrong places. *hehe* So, fair warning… I may be a bit unflattering throughout my review as well. Proceed with caution. *hehe*

well… that was unexpected )

And wow… a whole review in only a couple of pages. As Captain Jack does… a salute to you, Doctor Who. I’m anxious for next week in order to start it all again. And, if anyone is still reading… yep, my little shipper heart still wants Rose back. *grin*
